Newborns

Newborn with family, and sibling(s): $275-20 Images

Newborn sessions normally, and preferable take place anywhere from a few days old to at the latest, 6 weeks! If you plan for us to get those sleepy baby poses you'll want to book when baby is 0-2 weeks old! That being said, I will never turn down a session no matter how old baby is! We just get images where baby is awake!

Our studio is filled with props dedicated to your child's first studio session! We offer over, we don't even know how many at this point, individual wraps, knit newborn rompers, several bonnets, and tiebacks, and baskets ready just for your session! Our Maternity Gown collection also serves as a beautiful, and loose option perfect for those post-baby Mom's.

TO PREPARE FOR YOUR SESSION PLEASE READ BELOW.

Don't know what you need to bring your Newborn Session or how to prepare? Let me help!

What to bring?

1. Bring your newborn in sleepwear that uses either buttons or a zipper to undress, avoiding something that is pulled over your newborns head. This allows your session to start off well! Newborns typically don't like when clothes are pulled over their tiny sensitive heads. So when you newborn comes to our studio sleeping in their carseats it's much easier to remove their sleepwear, and begin shooting!

2. Bring your Newborn's favorite binky! We suggest using the soothy brand. Pacifier is a light teal/sea-foam color. Bring multiple if possible! This will allow us to settle baby in-between shots, and avoid cluster-feeding mid session. (Allowing mom to relax just a little!)

3. If breast-feeding make sure to bring anything you normally use while at home or on a trip out. Example... Pads, Clothes, Creams etc. We provide a Breastfeeding pillow so new Mom's don't need to cart it back, and forth to the studio. (:

4. Bring diapers, creams, wipes, bottles and formula (if using) for your newborn. We provide a changing station to easily change your child. We wash the cover in-between sessions!

5. Moms... If you had the pleasure of shooting your maternity session with us, you know, and have seen our selection of gowns. They are again available for you to use! The dresses are a prefect choice for your family shot, they are light and stretchy. Comfortable for our new Moms, and add a little elegance to your family shot!

6. In no way do you need to bring any of your own props, unless it has significance to you. We have a wide arrange of wraps, and props for our newborn sessions.

What to avoid the night/day before you session.

1. If you are a breastfeeding please try to avoid anything that would upset babies tummy. A slight reminder what you eat, your baby eats. I remember when I was nursing, my 3-month old couldn't handle strawberries, and I had to eliminate them from my diet for months. Things that tend to upset a newborns tummy includes...broccoli, Mexican foods, spice's etc. If you know your newborn has a sensitive tummy you can bring gas drops to help.

2. Avoid your newborn sleeping all through the day, or up towards your session. We want sleepy baby vibes!

Family pictures!

Normally we will capture these images first. Allowing Dad to leave with sibling(s) after family picture are done. This way Mom, and Dad don't feel pressured to keep siblings quite while trying to do their new little ones pictures, and Dad can get the heck out of there! Most Dad's don't find the idea of picture taking stress-free. So we understand, and take no offense. Dad can take sibling(s) to the park or out to eat while Mom and I finish up. Dad and sibling(s) can come back once we start we are done. With that said, in no way does Dad and Sibling(s) need to leave mid shoot! As every family is different, every shoot will be different. Play it by ear, and know the option is out there.

Siblings

Now while we know it's one of the more important shots of the shoot, we will do our very best to capture your children's image together. With that being said, if sibling doesn't want to cooperate with Newborn I-in no way-want to put your new little one in an unsafe position. Thank you for your understanding! And I can't wait for your session!
